Practitioner mental health care youth

The Praktijkondersteuner GGZ Jeugd (POH GGZ Jeugd) holds consulting hours and can give advice on psychological and social problems in young people and parenting questions. A referral to the POH GGZ Jeugd is made via the GP.

The POH GGZ Youth is ready to listen, offer guidance and help with questions or concerns related to:

  • Well-being at home or school (including resilience, bullying, learning difficulties, problems at home);
  • Social contacts (e.g. having wrong or no friends at all);
  • Psychological well-being (including anxiety issues, eating problems, gloom, mild depression);
  • Behavioural problems;
  • Specific adolescent problems;
  • A gaming and/or other addiction.

The POH GGZ Jeugd may have a number of conversations with you and/or your child herself. If necessary, together and in consultation with the GP, you will look at options for further specialist help and support.

New telephone system

From 20 June, we are using a new telephone system. With this system, you can choose not to wait for the assistant to speak to you, but to be called back by the assistant at a later time. Of course, you can always choose to stay in the queue.

With this, we hope to increase the practice's accessibility and manage waiting times better. It will take some getting used to for everyone. For you, because you will suddenly come into contact with the practice in a different way, and also for the assistants, who will have to familiarise themselves with this way of working. We hope for your patience and especially for an improved accessibility of our GP care for you.
